14 Days To Crafted: So Many Things To Do

My new business cards (well, they’re old, but I had to reorder them) are here, as are the moss green jute bags I ordered (I opted for jute instead of paper as it is reusable and a renewable resource) for purchases. I have new stickers for gift boxes, and new gift boxes to put the stickers on. Ribbons for the gift boxes. New displays (because I am keeping my mobile booth set up as an option in case a great show comes up) are ordered and have been coming in the mail for the last week or two.

"Urban Fetish"

My first month’s rent check has been mailed and I’ve acquired insurance for my booth. Next week I’ll hit the office of Finance for the city and get my license sorted in person. Gotta get my new location listed on my resale license, and then I’m pretty much good to go with the paperwork.

I have a 20″ x 9′ sign to paint, but I’m waiting on some big wooden letters to come in the mail.

Tomorrow we are going to the site for the first time since the pre-renovation Open House, and I will see my booth. Right now it is bare bones, just walls and concrete. I’m so excited and nervous, I can barely stand it! Our plan is to get the walls primed, and the first coat of paint down tomorrow. We’ll do the second coat and texture on Sunday. At some point during the week, we’ll put in flooring and hang shelves. Once that’s done, we’ll settle on our final lighting options. And then? Then it’s just wait for vendor in-fill day to put up displays and hang racks, and the day after that will be the Grand Opening.

Happiness

While all this is going on, I’m retagging inventory and making new stuff to premiere. The Etsy shop is closing down today, and will reopen shortly after Grand Opening weekend, to give me some more time to handle things.

I’m pretty sure I’ve missed some things here and there, but, you know, that’s a start.

I’ve never been so excited in all my born days! This is a lot like getting married, only, no fancy dress.
