SO much to talk about…

First off… can I go back to Cambria now? I really liked being on vacation.

Seriously. There was pie.

No? Okay fine. Well then if I have to stay in town, first I should announce that tomorrow night, from 5-10 I’ll be at the Uptown Village Market in Long Beach (in Bixby Knolls, at the Expo Center) and then again on Saturday from 10-4pm. They’re doing both indoor and outdoor vendors this time, it’s gonna be twice as amazing, and I sure hope that if you’re local you will come out and say hello.

Second… the planned Etsy update for last Monday has been happening, but, slowly. Things have been going up over the course of the week and will continue to go up over the next few days. Things like… hand enameled copper Spanish Dancer Ballerina Earrings…

I know, they’re Fuschias, but my grandma called them Spanish Dancers. And I love these. Spiral hammered earwires, copper, they delight me. SO much that I kept one pair back for myself.

There are more beach and river stones.

New sea glass. Simple gemstone drops for summer.

New pieces from the Urban Fetish tribal line in silk and sterling…

I’ll also be rolling them out at Uptown this weekend.

Two shows in two weeks means that things are a little crazed around Honey&Ollie and I don’t much care to have this much on my plate as a rule, but I’m preparing to start building and moving into my new space at Crafted. It seemed important to say goodbye to my favorite shows (at least for a little while, while I settle into the brick and mortar space) before all the fun at Crafted began.

We’ve already begun looking at paint chips, flooring samples, figuring out displays and how to make faux wainscotting and chair rails (foam, y’all. And caulk. It’s brill.) and whether or not I want Martha Stewart’s “raw sugar” or “pink sea salt” on the walls (for the record, I’m leaning towards pink sea salt). Whether or not to stencil. Wrought iron brackets or plain?

I am feeling a little bit like this rock, with all the waves crashing around me.

The hubs and I went to Cambria last year for our anniversary. Sleepy, peaceful little town. We enjoyed it too. I was extremely pregnant, and the hotel spa gave me a pregnancy massage. Then we napped for, oh…4 hours or so? Divine.
Anyhow, good luck this weekend! Perhaps I’ll see you back at the roof in June 🙂

Thanks! I am unlikely to be at the Roof for a show anytime soon. I’m opening a brick and mortar down CRAFTED at the Port of LA and we are opening on June 29th. We’ll be open Fri-Sun every weekend. I’m going to try to do a Roof show around the holidays as well as one of my other regular shows, and I’ve arranged to have some of my work sold for me at my other other regular show… but it’s hard to be in two places at once.

Speaking of Martha, and wainscoting, have you see her wallpaper: *paintable* beadboard wallpaper!! Brilliant!
