art on millionaire’s row

Still trying to get back into the swing of the ordinary. Something tells me that nothing will be “ordinary” until Faire is done and the kit is packed away for another year.

There are some exciting things happening at Honey&Ollie studios though… I got accepted by the committee for Art on Millionaire’s row, the art show that benefits the Altadena public library!! It’s my first juried show, the committee liked my work, and I’m in!!

Now I have to buy a pop up. And tables. And oh my gosh! Did I mention, I got into the show!? Yay!

There might have been some happy dancing going on around here since I got the news. Getting into a juried show is very validating for me on a lot of levels. So that’s two, two-day shows and one two-weekend Ren Faire on the books.

I’d better get Making…

also? Gratuitous kitten shot:

This little sweetie, his littermate, and another bunch of sweeties are all going to be available for adoption in a couple of weeks. My friend Kimberly is fostering them. If you are Bay Area local and looking for a pre-sweetened kitten, you should give her a shout!

CONGRATS!!! I was coming here to give you suggestions for where to purchase an Easy Up tent (don’t cheese out and get the generic ones.. you’ll be sorry, ask me how I know…) but I am now dead from the kitteh cute. Try your local Sam’s Club for Easy Up’s & or Wallyworld- ditto for tables. Make sure they fold- I like the ones that are faux woodgrain and have a carry handle. You’ll be lugging the bastards around- make sure you can carry them!
If you can’t tell.. I really did LOVE doing craft shows– its a totally wild experience.

Hi! I just googled the event to see when it starts, and got pulled in by your hit. Love your self description; I would have been you, in another life! Anyway, we’re going to have bkft and try to get there early to fing parking (despite my temptation to light a fire in the fireplace instead… brrr!). I look forward to seeing your work! Have an awesome day!
