It can be really exciting…

to put the finishing touches on a project, push away from the bench and know you are done. Satisfying, especially if parts of the project got tedious or challenging or if, as in our case, you have a horrible attack of Real Life derail your schedule.

I’m happy to say that the first month’s worth of mailings for the Honey&Ollie earring club are finished, polished, packed, addressed, and shipped out – and a whole day before my deadline! It feels really good and kind of a relief to have it off my plate, at least until the end of the month when I have to come up with an all new design and mailing for May!

No spoilers here on the blog, at least not until my club members get their goodies, but I will say that the club shipment for April is sure to bring out cheerful feelings and thoughts of spring, daffodils and sunshine! Exactly what we all need at the end of a long, gloomy winter… I really hope they like them.

What have you cleared from your plate this week? Got any accomplishments to share? Leave me a comment and let me know!

Well…I finished my proto types and patterns for the two kits I’m contributing to the Great Rhody Yarn Crawl (which happens to start tomorrow!). I got all the colors bagged up, stuffed a pattern in ’em, slapped “Bella Yarns” labels on ’em, tagged each one, added several of them to the inventory, and stuffed ’em in the back room. I sure hope people like them cause a whole lot of myself is in each one. It’s success, or failure, lol. One cool thing…I got to add myself to our shop computer as a vendor. Yay!

Looking forward to seeing my beautiful earrings in the mail. I’ll be moving May 13th, so I’ll have to email my new address to you (it’s just like the old one, only leave off the 4, lol).

For sure send me the new addy before May 15, as that’s when round #2 goes out! Your earrings went in the mail today and I hope you like them. Let me know what you think! I’m so excited about the beads I got for the first round, they’re really special.

How exciting that you’ve got your patterns and prototypes done! And kits! You’re on your way, you’re going to do great. It’s okay to start small. Just build from there at a pace that works for you!

  2. I published a book, which yes, was last week, but is still the most exciting thing to happen to me recently.

Oh, I also broke 50,000 words on the third book in the series. And I thought fondly of a time when I used to have other hobbies. πŸ˜‰

It’s not finished yet but I took some headshots for a friend last weekend and she really likes them. I still have to do some editing but it made me feel accomplished. So that’s my art. Today I got a message from someone telling me about her newborn baby and thanking me for helping induce her so she had a natural childbirth. That’s my job. The rest of the week is fired but I’m glad you asked this because it reminds me of the good things πŸ™‚

My accomplishment was getting everything packed in a very small suitcase to travel for 3 1/2 weeks. Not an easy thing to do. Thank goodness I won’t need winter sweaters. It will be hot! Oh how I wish I could see what you sent to the earring club. The thought of daffodils, my favorite flower.
