road trip

“If you are going down a road and don’t like what’s in front of you and look behind you and don’t like what you see, get off the road. Create a new path!”
-Maya Angelou

A friend of mine posted that to her Facebook the other day and I really liked it.

But see, here’s the thing. You can’t leave yourself by the side of the road and keep walking.

And by that, I mean, honor what it took to get there, even if you are heading off in a new direction. Honor where and who you have been.

You will always catch up to yourself in the end. Might as well make friends along the way.
