Lacy Baktus, done

Knitting with handspun is such a joy! This was a quick and fun little pattern and the perfect choice to show off the variations of handpainted, handspun rovings.

Mom has arrived from the wilds of the frozen Northlands (ok, Modesto) and we are embarking on a dizzying round of Stuff today. As well as an epic Food Network marathon. Mittens continues to improve as well, though this morning he is a little sick and we are keeping a close eye on him. Our oven broke last night, so we may or may not have an oven over the course of the holidays (depends on when the landlord can get one delivered) so some re-thinking of certain menu plans is necessary. But that is a small thing, when compared to healthy kitties and family gathered around. Mostly, I’m feeling pretty blessed and grateful for all those blessings.

I know this is a few days late (lost my card reader again), but I thought I’d share anyway…

Dos Chanukiahs

We place the chanukiah in the window to share the light with everyone else who may be passing by. We had a lot of light to share this year! May your holidays, whatever they are, however you celebrate, be filled with Light.

Love the candles in the window even if the picture is late. Glad you found your card reader. Now my camera broke and I can’t get the card out of the camera.

Glad also that Mitten is feeling better. After the new year I am going to the Humane Society to look for a little one. I am ready with the dish and kitty litter.

I can’t wait to see pictures and hear about your new little one! They’re such a joy, when they aren’t misbehaving! I always threaten to bake mine into pies, but it doesn’t seem to phase them.
