I have some pretty purple (duh) handspun that I’d be more than happy to “donate” to your granny squares.. just let me know and I’ll send it to you.
My son is due for a new blanket – I’m thinking of making that op-art looking one from KNitty in black & white because it looks sort of ‘Nightmare Before Christmas/Tim Burton” esque.

    I L.O.V.E. U!

I’ve been Twittering all day about crocheting granny squares – I got ’em the first time a while back, but now I’m having trouble. I can follow a how-to video on YouTube; however, on my own, not. I still don’t understand the “why + how” of ’em: “why do I chain 2 here, but chain 3 here? How do I know this is a corner and not a side?” It will click soon, though, I hope!

Your granny squares are beautiful! They look so soft…and the texture looks so comfy! You’ve definitely motivated me to keep at it!

Mouse, yes please! I will email you my address, thank you sooo much.

BK, if you google Attic24, there’s a great blanket she’s working on, and The Purl Bee has a tutorial on basic squares as well, like the ones I did above, not video but step by step pictures.
