I’ve been digging through the basket o’ shame to get stuff finished and off the needles. Freeing up space, freeing up time, just trying to free up as much as I can overall.

Loksins side

Some projects have a little more history, a little more weight, than others. They are a sort of map of the things you were doing when you were knitting them, the stuff you laughed or cried about, depending on how much of your life they lived through with you.

Loksins front

Sometimes finishing a project like that is more than a little bittersweet because you realize there is an awful lot of living in those stitches. I’m really glad to have these off the needles, though. They have a lot of good memories and I’ll enjoy wearing them. I will think of Dodger dogs and frozen lemonade every time I put them on!

Now to finish up the Pomotamus socks I started lo these many years ago….
